This incredible mandala was drawn old school style by the wonderful Melle.  Incredibly Melle has only been drawing for a year.  She says that if you ask her to draw a cat or a dog she can't.  But why should she when she can create works of art like this?

Melle draws freehand with a black felt tip pen, concentrating on getting the mandala symmetrical.  She focuses on one line at a time.  When there's a problem with a line, she resolves it with the next couple of lines.  Because she is focusing on a line at the time she says that she is often surprised by the beauty of her finished work.  But for her it's not the finished work that is important, it's the process of drawing it.
