Happy New Year! I hope you've had a wonderful break. 

I've had a wonderful time settling into our new home in the foothills of the Dandenongs. There are still boxes everywhere but I am slowly making inroads with a little help from some lovely friends, thanks Meli and Jacqui! Our cat has the right attitude - while chaos reigns all around him he is content to snooze in the middle of it all!

We've gone from a two bedroom flat to a four bedroom house with a garden. I am revelling in more space and room to breathe. In between unpacking all the boxes I've managed to spend a fair bit of time enjoying the new garden. We had a whole lot of pots in storage and we've now filled them with earth and planted vegetable seedlings with great excitement. It's wonderful to expand our balcony herb garden with more edibles.

We are lucky enough to live near a creek and bike trails so I have been enjoying the long summer nights and going for evening bike rides with my girls. It's so peaceful out here and quiet on the streets compared to the inner city where we used to live.
